Another weekend coming up, back to work!

Well this has been a very hectic couple of weeks. My Nana (grandma) passed away last Friday and I am still grieving her loss. She was such a beautiful, amazing, considerate, kind, empathetic woman. She was like a mother to me as well as a best friend, this world has lost a ray of light but the next has gained it, and now Nana is whole, free from pain and suffering, and for that I am very grateful. I hope that when I pass I can say I had as great a life as her, a wonderful husband, caring kids, lots of grandkids and great-grandkids. I am going to go to visit her grave with my mom, stepdad and the kids in a couple of weeks, I did not make it down to say good-bye as she lives in Texas and the trip was not doable when she fell very ill, it all happened so fast. Nana, I love you and will miss you always, and I look forward to the day, hopefully a long time from now, that we will meet again.

Everything else has been pretty much business as usual, Ian had his 18 month well baby check. He is now 23 lbs 4.6 oz (15% for weight) and 32.5 in (53% for height), so still a growing boy. He is definitely the "big" one of the bunch! He is starting to become a bit of a bully though, hitting, biting, throwing things...I am hoping it is just a phase! Otherwise he is one of the cutest babies on the planet ;)

The gym has been going pretty well, if only I could stop eating the sweets all that working out might actually take off the last 15 lbs I want to lose, ha! I need to buckle down, it is swimsuit season and later this summer we will be off for a fun vacation in Cali!

Well, better run for now, not much else to update, and I have to sleep as much as I can before the deprivation sets in this weekend! Bring on Monday!

Finally an update! :)

Kenna and I!

The little trio!

My mighty little man!

Little heartbreaker Ian!

Wow. I cannot believe how long I let this go, nearly a year! Unfortunately I had a brain lapse and forgot my password for a very long time (and could apparently not be bothered to try and figure it out)! Well, hopefully I can keep this blog quite a bit more up to date from now on. Now to summarize basically a year into a short post. Hmmm.... Kenna turned 4 last Oct. 29th while Ian turned 1 last Oct. 7th and Logan just celebrated his 3rd birthday March 18th. I will find out how big Ian has gotten at his 18 month well baby appt this month (have not scheduled it yet, I have to get on that!), Logan just had his appt and is 35.6 inches tall (5%) and 27 lbs 9.6 oz (10%), he is still my tiny little man and I absolutely adore him. He did not need any shots (which made him VERY happy)! Other than his teeth he is healthy. We did take him to the dentist last year and he has enamel hypoplasia, 10 of his teeth need caps. Since we do not have dental insurance we are trying to take very good care of his teeth to avoid cavities, if we can hold off on the caps until he is 4-5 he will be able to have them done in office instead of the hospital OR saving us thousands of dollars. We had his front teeth filled so they look like actual teeth now and he is very happy about that. His next dental appt will be April 21st and I will find out then if we have been able to keep them good the past 6 months. Kenna also has enamel hypoplasia (it is genetic) but hers is very mild and she will only need 2 caps. Ian so far I have no idea but his teeth look perfect as of right now (Logan's were really bad already at this age and I had no idea about Kenna until her first dental check). Kenna is now about 38" tall and about 32ish lbs. She is riding in a booster seat now and very excited about that as well as school, she loves it and is writing her name now and is trying to learn to read. She still has her beautiful red hair (and an attitude to accompany it) and is very much enjoying being 4. Ian is growing up so very fast, it makes me sad and happy all at the same time. He is talking a good amount now, forming 2-3 word sentences and is all boy. He loves him some cars, trains, balls, dirt and wrestling his big brother.
As for Billy and I, well we are pretty good. We bought a house in our neighborhood and finally have a yard, it needs a lot of work but that will happen soon enough. Billy is now a licensed architect and I am so proud of him for accomplishing that goal! Although it really does us no good until the economy gets better, he does still have a job (PT though right now) which is good and hopefully he can hold onto it until things pick up. I completed my CNA training last year and started working with a local hospital's senior center. I am hoping to move to the main hospital in the near future to get some more medical training as opposed to care giving. I love it though, and I am very excited to finish my BSN once Ian starts all day schooling (probably 3-4 years from now).

So in a nutshell that is what has happened the past year, tons of fun, stress, memories, etc. and I wouldn't change it for the world. I have been so very busy with 3 kids in 3 years but now that they are all getting bigger and growing and turning into kids instead of babies I am able to breathe a little more! I can't wait to see what life has in store for us and am so very grateful to have my family of 5 (although Kenna is so hoping for a sister! Ha! I told her if she does all the feedings/diaper changes/midnight get ups, then we can talk!)

It has been a LONG time!

Well, Ian is now 6 months old!!! I cannot believe that time has flown by so quickly! He is rolling everywhere and such a happy little man! Still waking up between 2-4 times a night though, but oh well, he at least goes back to sleep quickly after nursing! Logan just had his 2nd birthday and his 2 year appointment, he is now 24 lbs 2 oz and around 32 inches long! Still tiny and mischievous! He has a dental appointment this Thursday that I am dreading. I know he needs a LOT of dental work and we do not have dental insurance, so the upcoming and unknown bill is not settling well with me. Kenna is doing great, she is almost exactly 3 1/2 years old and such a little girl now. We signed her up for our local preschool and she starts this September and is very excited about it!

I am starting CNA training this coming Monday, April 13th. I am excited and nervous, it will open a new chapter in my life and I look forward to moving forward through the years in my training to eventually become an RN. Billy is doing pretty good, still has his job so that is pretty good in my book with this economy! He is completing all his architecture license exams right now as well. My mom and stepdad just bought a new house and the kids have enjoyed running around it while it was empty :) We are thinking of getting a new home closer to Billy's job and more potential job sites for me right now as well.

Other than that not much has been going on, just normal mundane day to day things and life with my 3 kids under 4 to keep me entertained (as well as my pt gym daycare job).

Hopefully I can keep this up, I am going to have Ian's 6 month appoinment at th end of the month (I was late on his 4 month!) and will post about that after it occurs! I am going to add some updated photos here too! Hoping that maybe tonight I can get some rest, lol! But at least starting Monday I am off kid duty from 5 PM- 9 PM Monday through Friday for 3 weeks thanks to the training classes! I hope Ian doesn't fight the bottle too much during that time.....

Some Ian Photos!

Exercise!!

Ahhhh!! I am all cleared to go back to the gym! Now I can finally banish those last 15 pounds (well 15 to be back at pre-pregnancy, 20-30 to be where I really want to be)! I am taking my fenugreek and drinking my mothers milk tea to keep my supply up and jumping in headfirst! Feels great!

Kiddos are doing good, Ian is such a sweetie and now sleeps a good 4-5 hour stretch at night before eating and then a 3 hour and then back to eating every 2 hours the rest of the day.

Kenna has her re-check next week for her constipation, but she has successfully been pooping on the potty for a couple weeks now!! Yay!! So happy!

It's been a long time!

Well looks like I have neglected my blog for a while. Little Ian arrived in this world on October 7th, 2008 at 12:08 PM weighing 7 lbs 12 oz and measuring 20.5 inches long! My biggest baby by far! The section went pretty routine other than a lot of scar tissue, the whole surgery took a bit over an hour and a half. Recovery has been good so far other than a lot of abdominal swelling in the beginning. No real pain though other than the expected incision pain.

Ian is going to be 5 weeks old tomorrow and has been such a blessing. As of his 2 week appt he weighed in at 8 lbs 6 oz and was 22 inches long, growing like a weed so far! He sleeps well except for his cold he has had for a bit :( But he really is such an amazing baby, well tempered and so cuddly! Kenna and Logan have taken to him so well, they love their little brother very much and make sure to love on him non-stop! I cannot wait for all the milestones to come with little Ian, although it is a bit sad to see him grow so fast knowing he is my last little one.

Logan has had his 18 month appt and is also doing well! He is now in the 10% for length, but still the 3% for weight. He was a bit over 20 lbs and 31 inches long. So my tiny little dude! He is such a sweetie and is becoming a big boy more and more every single day! His speech is getting better and he has almost all of his teeth now, just a few left to come in! Every morning I look forward to hearing his sweet voice say "Hi Mommy" when I open his door to get him!

Kenna just had her 3rd birthday and appt!! She is now 29 lbs (25%) and 35 inches (10%) and is now fully potty trained!! Woo-hoo!! We had her birthday party at Chuck E Cheese and she had such a blast! It was so much fun and so nice to have all her friends with her :) She is growing up so fast, but it is so nice getting to see this beautiful 3 year old and getting to know my daughter more and more everyday!

As for me I am starting back up at the gym next week, I have about 13 lbs or so to go to get to pre-pregnancy weight and want to lose another 7-15 on top of that, so I have some work to do, lol!

I have a lot to be thankful for this thanksgiving in a few weeks. I am so happy to now have my beautiful family of 5 though!

Appt today!

Well it was my last ultrasound of my pregnancy!!! Ian is weighing in at about 5 lbs 6 oz and fluid levels are perfect! They did not check my cervix at all, so I have no clue if the cramping is causing anything, but the doc did not seem concerned unless it becomes regular. He was moving all around, it was cute to feel and see the movements at the same time! I can't wait to have my little man here, I can wait for the sleep deprivation and the lugging 3 very small kids around, but despite all the challenges I know my life is going to be much more enriched because of it! Next appt is 2 weeks away, and only 3 left before my c-section date. So elated and nervous all at the same time!
